CSR Initiatives

Naiise Giving Back

CSR is a core part of who we are, and what we believe in. Every year, Naiise partners a charity of choice to raise funds or grant specific wishes, including Club Rainbow and Touch Young Arrows (TOUCH Community Services). We are also working on an ongoing initiative to produce tote bags that helps us and our customers reduce our carbon footprint, while also donating a proceed of sales to a charity.

Naiise x TTSH (Tan Tock Seng Hospital) - May 2020

Inspired by one of our customers who wanted to know if "normal people like us can send curated care packages to medical staff and contact tracers" as a form of appreciation, we reached out to Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH)'s goodwill department to find out if such gifts would be useful for them.

We learned that while they have been overwhelmed with food offers, receiving wellness-related items will also help to boost and lift their staff's morale!

Heartened by this, we have created 2 special listings that allow anyone to purchase either a soothing tea or hand cream from us and we'll deliver it directly to TTSH on your behalf. Their goodwill team will then disburse these items to staff that need them the most.

On 4th May, we sent almost 100 packages to the TTSH goodwill team made up of teas and hand cream.

Naiise x Club Rainbow - Dec 2019

Club Rainbow (Singapore) is a non-profit organisation with a mission to support and empower children with chronic illnesses, and their families by providing compassionate relevant services in their journey towards an enriching life.

Children in Club Rainbow range from new-born to youth up to the age of 20. Armed with the vision to be the charity of choice that inspires hope and makes a difference in the lives of the children with chronic illnesses and their families, Club Rainbow adopts a holistic approach to help our beneficiaries in 5 core aspects:

  • Emotional Support
  • Financial Support
  • Educational Assistance
  • Social Integration
  • Informational Resources

We wrapped up 50 gifts for caregivers and recipients of Club Rainbow this Christmas! For each present purchased, Naiise offers a dollar for a dollar and customers get to pick a tag at our Christmas tree at Naiise Iconic and shop away in-store!

Christmas Cards Fundraising Drive with TOUCH Young Arrows - Dec 2015

Naiise is an online design retailer based in Singapore, trying to make design accessible to everyone. We're always on the lookout for cool, functional and beautiful products to inspire and delight. We're on a goal to better people's lives with design.

The second installment of our Christmas charity outreach saw a three-fold fundraising drive for TOUCH Young Arrows (TYA), a service of TOUCH Community Services, which is a non-profit charitable organisation.

At TYA, they serve children aged six to 12 years old from low-income and/or single-parent families and provide weekly free academic coaching, values-driven activities, as well as year-round character development camp and family bonding events.

Naiise partnered with 11 designers (FRUS, Love Limzy, Simitaiji, Ella Zheng, Shu Han Lee, Ming // Playgrd, A Thousand Stories, Chen Zhi Liang, Punny Pixels, Pinyin Press, Lim Hang Kwong and Roxanne Paperie) to produce 14 exclusively designed Christmas cards for sale both online and at our stores. All proceeds contributed towards the fundraising initiative.

In addition, a charity auction featuring 8 donated art works and design products from our designers was held during our Christmas party at our A Secret Christmas – Naiise Pop-Up Store at 167/169 Telok Ayer Street on 26 November 2015. Full proceeds from the auction went into our TYA fund as well.

The Naiise team also decided to hold a Christmas party for the youth beneficiaries at our Orchard Gateway store on 5th December. Jackie of The Fingersmith Letterpress conducted a Christmas paper ornament workshop during the party. The beneficiaries were also brought on a tour around the store with their Naiise buddies and were introduced to local designs and art over food and drink provided by Wilder café, Butterscotch café, and Lola’s. TYA had shared that that was the first time most of their youths were celebrating Christmas, so we certainly hoped that we made their Christmas a little more memorable. (:

Kris Kringle - Dec 2015

Kris Kringle is an annual event held by Club Rainbow (Singapore) for their beneficiaries and their siblings.

On 19 December 2015, Club Rainbow (Singapore) and their partnering corporate volunteers brought their beneficiaries and siblings to our Naiise store at Orchard Gateway. Our store was opened an hour before regular opening hours for their youth beneficiaries, aged 13 to 20 years old, to shop for gifts for Christmas. The beneficiaries and their siblings then exchanged their gifts over lunch.

There were nearly 50 youth beneficiaries who gift shopped from a wide array of design products from both local and overseas brands that morning, from locally-made backpacks and pouches to watches, socks and stationery items. The Naiise team was grateful for the opportunity to interact with the youth beneficiaries and to be able to introduce to them to the local design scene.

Grant-A-Wish with Club Rainbow (Singapore) - Dec 2014

Naiise is an online design retailer based in Singapore, trying to make design accessible to everyone. We're always on the lookout for cool, functional and beautiful products to inspire and delight. We're on a goal to better people's lives with design.

The team had wanted to organise something meaningful and give back to the community in the festive spirit of giving. Hence, we partnered with Club Rainbow (Singapore) for a grant-a-wish Christmas campaign at our store.

50 Club Rainbow beneficiaries gave us a wishlist of gifts from our store that they had hoped to have for Christmas, and shared with us their reasons why. We wrote their messages on tags which we hung on our Christmas tree in-store, as well as on our website. A few wishes tugged at our hearts. One chose a self-watering plant pot to remind her of “how precious water is to man and animals alike”. Another 14-year-old girl had chosen an Educational Periodic Table Wall Decal to give to her sister who was studying Chemistry the following year, and hoped to “stick it on the study room wall so that (her) younger sister and (herself) could see it everyday to learn more about Chemistry”. A 16-year-old beneficiary chose a pair of Pretty Bow Polkadot T-Strap Booties which she thought would fit her “tiny feet” “perfectly” and she would “wear it to the Christmas party organised by Club Rainbow”!

Shoppers could select and grant any “wish” of the 50 Club Rainbow beneficiaries. With every “wish” that was granted, our team wrapped the present and gathered them under the Christmas tree.

With the help of our customers, partners and with contributions from within the team, we fulfilled all wishes by the beneficiaries and presented their gifts to them in a Christmas party at our store on 19 December 2014. It was a small gathering over food and drinks and a light crafts session conducted by Cynthea of Super Farmers, and it certainly set a milestone in our Naiise journey.
